Anum Zaheer Khan – The Lightning Bolt that has transformed us forever

A year ago, Centangle Interactive after a struggling five years of its creation, was finally taking off. A flight from a small startup to a well-reputed digital firm. There was just one piece missing. We needed someone with a keen eye for design. So, we started interviewing and were lucky enough to have found someone so much better than what we were looking for. The missing piece was put in place and Centangle was complete!

This piece has been our live wire, our Creative Art Director, Anum Zaheer Khan. An engineer by education and a creative artist at heart, Anum had over five years of experience working with multiple startups and design firms. She not only transformed our design and art departments but also shaped our company culture. In a very short span of time, she motivated, challenged and directed us towards a better understanding of the need for good design at a tech company like ours. She was always keen to learn new things and helped others improve.

Anum was a true powerhouse with a charismatic person, a creative mind, and extremely committed work ethics. One can not find a positive adjective that doesn’t fit our most vibrant resource. A wonder woman who would not hesitate to take a challenge outside of her domain. She would do anything from project management to strategic planning, client handling to content creation and if needed, which small companies like ours usually do, take up even the smaller time-consuming tasks. Above all, she was a great person, a good friend, and a caring human being.

Anum was a woman of great values who always, always stood for what is right. A character who always led by example and was always daring to challenge anyone and anything. An enigma of a personality who was both bold and humble, an unlikely combination we use to see at workplaces. She influenced every life she touched.

Unfortunately, like many greats, Anum Zaheer Khan left us too early.

We would like to offer our sincere condolences to her family and friends. May Allah Almighty give them the strength to cope with this great loss. The way to honor her is to follow her footsteps: Be empathetic, strong and diligent.

No words could thank her enough for making us look beyond the limits and envisioning our potential. Anum, may Allah grant you highest of ranks in Jannah.

You will always remain in the heart and core of Centangle!

Note: This blog post was contributed by the team members who worked closely with Anum ever since her joining in January this year.
